DeepVerse brings founders and investors into a policy forum
Startup Policy Forum has launched DeepVerse, a centre for deep-tech innovation bringing founders, investors, researchers, industry and government together. It covers 10 sectors: semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, space, quantum, defence, biotech and healthtech, clean energy, drones and aerospace, electric vehicles, and robotics. Unicorn India Ventures vice-president Pulkit Mehrotra argues that founders need patient capital, testing facilities, clearer approvals and customers willing to try new products. He proposes measuring progress through growth capital, paid pilots, repeat orders and a clearer path to production. The advisory board includes Accel India partner Prashanth Prakash, Ather Energy co-founder and CEO Tarun Mehta, and Skyroot Aerospace co-founder and CEO Pawan Chandana. SPF chief Shweta Rajpal Kohli calls for predictable policy over long development cycles; Inflection Point Ventures co-founder Ankur Mittal says shortening the journey from lab to first paying customer can give early-stage investors more confidence. The report describes an ecosystem and policy initiative, not a newly announced investment fund.
