Omspace signs Japan spaceport MoU for planned Infinity One reusable rocket

Ahmedabad-based Omspace Rocket and Exploration has signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan's Asto Gate to explore integration of its planned Infinity One rocket with future Japanese spaceport infrastructure, India Today reports. The framework covers technical coordination for launch, landing, servicing and turnaround. It does not secure an operational launch site or confirmed launch booking. Omspace targets January 2028 for its first orbital launch and a potential 24-48-hour turnaround for reuse; both are plans rather than demonstrated performance. The rocket is intended for small-satellite launches to low Earth orbit. The report alternates Asto Gate and Astro Gate spellings; this summary uses Asto Gate, as named at the agreement's introduction. No completed orbital flight is claimed.
