IndiaAI GPU providers may sell compute to overseas clients, report says

Companies selected under the IndiaAI Mission may be allowed to sell GPU computing capacity to overseas customers at commercial rates, Moneycontrol reports, citing sources and a senior government official. The reported aim is to improve utilisation and help providers recover infrastructure costs while domestic demand develops. The report says 14 companies have been empanelled under the ₹10,372-crore mission, including Jio Platforms, Tata Communications and Yotta Data Services. It also describes plans to add 10,000 GPUs and procure computing time over five years to give providers more predictable demand. This is AI-compute infrastructure coverage, not a new chip or model breakthrough. The overseas-sales arrangement remains reported rather than a verified public policy announcement. The article does not establish the final allocation rules between Indian and international customers, or that subsidised domestic rates will apply overseas.
