Piper Serica targets deep-tech startups ready to move from lab to customers

Piper Serica is looking for deep-tech companies that have completed long product-development cycles and can now reach customers and revenue, founder Abhay Agarwal told ETEntrepreneur. Its Bharat Tech Fund targets semiconductors, defence, AI, space, robotics, biosciences and advanced electronics; the report puts its target at ₹600 crore plus a ₹200 crore greenshoe, with ₹300 crore at first close and about ₹400 crore raised by September. Agarwal says the firm uses public-market relationships and a manufacturing arrangement with Centum Electronics to help portfolio companies move from prototypes to commercial production.
