AUM Ventures raises ₹250 crore toward a ₹750 crore deep-tech fund
AUM Ventures has raised ₹250 crore at the first close of its second fund and is targeting a full ₹750 crore corpus by March 2027, Business Standard reports. The pre-seed and seed-stage venture firm plans six to seven investments from the fund this year across space-tech, semiconductors, defence-tech, artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced manufacturing and energy transition. Its latest investment led a ₹17 crore round in Bengaluru space-tech startup OXG Space. Founded in 2022 by founding partner Chetan Mehta, the firm backed 24 companies from its ₹200 crore debut fund, beginning with Skyroot Aerospace. For Fund II, AUM Ventures is broadening its limited-partner base toward institutions, including SIDBI's Fund of Funds for Startups and the RDI fund, which it plans to approach when the next application window opens. The ₹750 crore figure is a target; ₹250 crore is what has actually been raised so far.
