The Guild unveils 150-acre rocket testing facility near Sriharikota

Bengaluru-based Ethereal Exploration Guild (The Guild) has unveiled The Anchorage, a 150-acre rocket development and testing facility in Space City, Andhra Pradesh, about 40 km from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR) at Sriharikota. The site brings engine testing, vehicle integration, manufacturing, stage qualification and refurbishment under one roof for Razor Crest Mk 1, the company's fully reusable medium-lift launch vehicle, which is being designed to recover both its booster and upper stage. The commissioned Pegasus horizontal static-fire stand, rated at 210 bar, is the site's centrepiece; the company describes it as India's highest-pressure-rated pressure-fed engine test capability. The Guild plans the first hot-fire test of its Pegasus 80 kN semi-cryogenic upper-stage engine at The Anchorage in November 2026, with infrastructure for the larger 1.2 MN Stallion booster engine, engine clusters and integrated stages to follow. The project stems from an August 2025 memorandum with the Andhra Pradesh government covering a Rs 500 crore investment in three phases. The Guild raised a $20.5 million Series A in December 2025, co-led by TDK Ventures and BIG Capital, with Accel and Prosus participating.
