IIMA Ventures' Deep-tech and Aerospace Acceleration Fund, Operators Studio and angel investor Chinmayi Muthyala also participated. The Ahmedabad-based startup is developing LEAP, a modular lunar mobility platform that combines a rover and trailer with standardised payload bays. The aim is to transport and deploy different payloads using a common mission architecture, reducing the bespoke engineering needed for individual missions. The money will support platform development, engineering hiring and the company's commercial roadmap. Cosmochute is setting up lunar laboratories at IIMA Ventures' incubation facility. Its founders are CEO Janhavi Gore, COO Amit Chowdhary and CTO Dhruv Alok Sangal. Mylswamy Annadurai, former programme director of Chandrayaan-1, is the company's chief scientist. LEAP remains in development: the announcement does not establish a completed lunar deployment, a launch date or an independently measured cost reduction.
