01 / The fund

The first institutional believer

Java backs India and Indian founders at idea, prototype and seed stage. Its current deep-tech focus spans robotics, space, defense, semiconductors, photonics, energy and climate systems. Earlier funds also hold enterprise software and consumer businesses; those are preserved in the portfolio rather than recast as deep tech.

The official site quotes a $600K-$1M cheque. February 2026 Fund III launch coverage describes ₹6Cr-₹8Cr initial investments and a ₹400Cr target including a ₹150Cr greenshoe, with 15-20 planned investments. A target is not a final close. Follow-on reserves are separate from the first cheque.

Fund I reported a ₹50Cr final close in October 2023, with an optional ₹25Cr greenshoe. Later launch coverage refers to Fund I as ₹75Cr and Fund II as ₹250Cr; these should not be read as verified final-close figures. The live regulatory page lists CSQUARE VENTURE PARTNERS FUND I and ONEPOINT44 FUND 3 as separate SEBI-registered vehicles.

No named individual or institutional LP has been verified from public sources. Historical October 2023 Fund I reporting describes Indian founders and high-net-worth investors in India, the Middle East and the US, without naming them. No names are inferred from that description.

Vistra ITCL and MITCON Credentia are disclosed trustees, not evidence of LP backing. The firm's industry advisers and investment committee members are also not assumed to be fund investors.
