Connect Now01 / The fund
Celesta is a global deeptech investor with an explicit India practice, not an India-only fund. Its current website identifies the US, India and Canada as core markets, reports more than $1.1 billion in assets under management and more than 110 investments, and emphasizes defensible intellectual property, manufacturing knowledge and complex systems integration. The firm began in 2013 and changed its name from WRVI Capital in May 2021.
Its operator-led approach combines technical diligence with support for manufacturability, supply chains and international expansion. AI infrastructure and semiconductors sit alongside engineered hardware, life sciences and software. No universal current cheque size is stated on the manager pages reviewed.
SIDBI's current public commitment table names Celesta India Fund V, with a ₹500 crore target corpus and ₹100 crore sanctioned. Separately, March 2026 press coverage describes a proposed ₹2,000 crore India-focused vehicle. These are different source claims and are not combined into a fund close or an uninvested-capital figure.
Investment approach ↗ · WRVI lineage ↗02 / Portfolio
83 public investment relationships: all 82 unique records on the current portfolio grid, plus Quartic.ai's original WRVI financing. Celesta reports more than 110 investments overall, so this public reconstruction is not its complete legal holdings register.
Exit and IPO history stays visible. IdeaForge's record explicitly says Celesta exited in June 2024. Aquantia, Berkeley Lights, Quantenna and Volta were subsequently acquired. DustPhotonics' own site now identifies it as part of Credo despite the manager grid's active label. Quartic was acquired by ParkourSC in October 2026. A functioning website or an IPO alone does not prove Celesta still owns a stake.
Company-ownsite checks steer the descriptions. Aispire now describes broadband analytics, ModelCat AI model generation, and Velaura low-power silicon, rather than older manager summaries. Software, construction services and consumer finance remain in Others instead of being relabelled deeptech. Boom's aviation engineering sits in Space Tech's aerospace grouping, without implying it builds orbital systems.
Marks come from the manager's company records. Quartic uses a name label. Historical companies and unavailable or placeholder destinations link to the manager or an evidenced successor record.

One publicly evidenced institutional LP lineage is included. No undisclosed private investors are inferred from co-investing, board seats or an investor-relations title.
The current SIDBI commitment table names Celesta India Fund V: ₹100 crore sanctioned against a ₹500 crore target corpus. Sanctioned is not the same as disbursed or a final close.

Founding Managing Partner · GP, Funds I-III
Celesta's biography explicitly limits his GP role to Funds I, II and III. His current personal headline emphasizes Intel and Walden. He is not presented here as an unrestricted current-fund contact.
LinkedIn profile ↗ · Official biography ↗Carbitex appears on current partner board lists and public reporting names Michael Marks as an investor. That alone does not establish a Celesta fund investment, so it is not counted as a fund holding. Other outside board seats and former employers are treated the same way.
