01 / The fund

Four funds, one India-first platform

Athera Venture Partners, formerly Inventus India, invests in Indian and India-origin technology companies from seed to Series A. Its current mandate gives INR 4-25 crore initial cheques and up to INR 50 crore total including follow-ons. It covers consumer technology, enterprise software, fintech and deep tech; not every portfolio company is a deep-tech business.

The current website identifies four funds and 43 companies on its homepage, while the portfolio headline says 44. The 37 visible grid cards plus seven additional manager detail pages marked Closed reconcile to 44 source-linked identities. These historical records are retained, not represented as 44 current holdings. Exited labels from the grid are preserved when detail pages still say Active.

Fund IV was reported with an INR 900 crore target. A final closed amount was not verified from a primary close announcement, so the target is not presented as capital raised. The current regulatory page separately names Inventus III India Fund, Athera Fund IV and Athera Gift Fund IV; vehicle names are not interchangeable.
