Skyroot targets commercial launches in early 2027 and monthly cadence by year-end
Skyroot Aerospace aims to start full commercial launches in the first quarter of 2027, co-founder Naga Bharath Daka told Business Standard in an October 30 interview. The company targets one launch a month by the end of 2027. These are operating targets, not launches already completed or a guaranteed schedule. The plan follows Vikram-1’s maiden orbital flight in July. A second demonstration flight is targeted for the end of 2026, using the same configuration with changes informed by flight data, including improvements to stage separation. Commercial operations are intended to begin from the third launch. Daka said execution and reliability are the main challenges as Skyroot pursues dedicated small-satellite launch customers. He said the company had raised around $150 million to $160 million by its maiden flight, with nearly half unspent. Those figures describe earlier financing, not a new round announced with this launch plan.
