Coratia raises ₹18 crore to scale underwater robotics

Coratia Technologies has raised ₹18 crore in a bridge round led by MGF Kavachh, ETEntrepreneur reported on October 29. The investment will support execution of its existing ₹66 crore Indian Navy programme, underwater-robotics research and development, and manufacturing and deployment capacity. The Navy contract was signed in September 2025; it is not a new October 2026 contract. Founded by Debendra Pradhan and Biswajit Swain, Coratia develops remotely operated underwater vehicles and robotic systems for defence, industrial inspection and critical infrastructure. Its systems combine cameras with acoustic sensors, sonar, navigation equipment and inspection payloads for work in low visibility, silt and changing currents. The Navy programme covers indigenous systems for hull cleaning, minor salvage and submerged-infrastructure inspection. Coratia is also pursuing industrial applications across dams, ports, bridges, pipelines and other submerged assets. The bridge follows a ₹17 crore pre-Series A in 2025 backed by MGF Kavachh, Piper and SIDBI.
