Tensrai raises ₹3.4 crore for a retrofit autonomy platform

Hyderabad-based Tensrai has raised ₹3.4 crore in pre-seed funding from India Accelerator, Finvolve, Hyderabad Angels and other angel investors, according to Entrackr's October 29 report citing a company release. The money will support technology development, engineering and deployment teams, and expansion in India and overseas. Tensrai is developing a common autonomy platform intended to retrofit industrial and commercial robots, vehicles and machines. It combines vision-based navigation and localisation with vision-language reasoning, mobility, robotic-arm manipulation and teach-and-deploy capabilities. These are development aims, not evidence that every capability is already deployed at scale. Founded by Sai Nikhil Rao Gona, Venkata Sai Charan Chalamalasetty, Harshith Uppalapati and Vivek Datta, the company is targeting material handling, cleaning and other physical tasks. A general-purpose mobile manipulator and revenue from robot sales, retrofits and Robot-as-a-Service are part of its plans.
