Simplismart raises $14 million to help companies run AI models with fewer GPUs
Bengaluru-based Simplismart has raised $14 million in an all-primary Series B round led by Dallas Venture Capital, with Nvidia participating alongside Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax - valuing the four-year-old startup at about $100 million including the new funding. Simplismart builds software that sits between AI models and the computing infrastructure they run on, automatically tuning how each model is deployed so companies get the speed, cost and reliability their applications need from their existing GPU stack - in some cases with fewer GPUs. The platform can run on Simplismart's own cloud or inside a customer's existing cloud and on-premises infrastructure, with tools to fine-tune models, scale resources automatically and monitor performance; cloud providers can also use it to offer their own AI inference services, as Yotta does inside its Shakti Studio platform. Customers include AI video platforms InVideo - which cut GPU serving costs by 56% - HeyGen and Higgsfield, and enterprise AI startup Ema. Co-founder and CEO Amritanshu Jain said the company's annualized revenue run rate has grown 14-fold in six months to an eight-figure sum, with more than half of revenue from the US. Nvidia is also working with Simplismart on technical integrations around its Dynamo inference software and has introduced it to potential customers. The funding will go toward US expansion, hiring and further development of the inference software.
