Sarvam rolls out Indus to 2,500 Maharashtra government officials

Sarvam is deploying its Indus AI workspace to around 2,500 Maharashtra government officials following the October 28 launch by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The rollout is part of a two-year agreement valued at ₹11.26 crore, approved in August, according to Analytics India Magazine. This is a government customer deployment, not a new funding round. The workspace supports drafting, research across policies and precedents, translation, summarisation, data analysis and conversion of scanned records to searchable text across 22 languages, including Marathi. The wider package includes tools for searching government resolutions, summarising email and comparing tender bids, alongside voice-based citizen outreach and speech technology. Sarvam says the systems run on secure, audited infrastructure entirely within India and can be inspected by the state. Those are the company's deployment and data-location claims, not an independent security assessment.
